Il tema che quest’anno è stato scelto è quello delle “Comunità Resilienti” che ci collega al Padiglione Italia curata dall’arch. Alessandro Melis ed occuperà una settimana della programmazione degli eventi che in questo prestigioso contenitore si terranno e da qui la volontà di affrontare in manera ampia e transisciplinare il rapporto tra Architettura e Resilienza, passando attraverso la valutazione dell’impatto sulla società civile e sullo sviluppo delle città e territori a causa del cambiamento climatico e la ridefinizione del ruolo dell’ArchitettƏ.Prendiamo in prestito proprio per questo uno degli obiettivi del Padiglione Italia: “Comunità Resilienti si fonda sulla ferma convinzione che l’Architettura debba contribuire in modo significativo al miglioramento della qualità della vità che conduciamo, fornendo risposte adeguate ai mutamenti ambientali e sociali del nostro tempo. L’industria delle costruzioni è responsabile della maggior parte delle emissioni di anidride carbonica a livello globale. Il ruolo dell’Architettura in senso più ampio e ancora di più quello dell’ArchitettƏ, sono quindi centrali nella lotta al cambiamento climatico. Per contrastare l’insostenibilità delle città e delle risorse è fondamentale ripensare il ruolo dell’ArchitettƏ assumendoci la responsabilità di un cambiamento che si rivela, ora più che mai, necessario”.
The theme that was chosen this year is "Resilient Communities" which connects us to the Italian Pavilion curated by the architect Alessandro Melis and will occupy a week of programming the events that will be held in this prestigious container and hence the desire to address the relationship between Architecture and Resilience in a broad and trans-disciplinary way, passing through the assessment of the impact on civil society and on the development of cities and territories due to climate change and the redefinition of the role of the Architect. For this reason we borrow one of the objectives of the Italian Pavilion: "Resilient Community is based on the firm belief that Architecture must contribute significantly to the improvement of quality of the life we lead, providing adequate responses to the environmental and social changes of our time. The construction industry is responsible for most of the global carbon dioxide emissions. The role of Architecture in a broader sense and even more that of the Architect, are therefore central in the fight against climate change. To counteract the unsustainability of cities and resources, it is essential to rethink the role of the Architect by taking responsibility for a change that is, now more than ever, necessary ".
